Meet Dr. Blizard

Miles A. Blizard fervently believes that "doing history" not only develops critical thinking skills but creates the next generation of responsible citizens. This is his 6th year at Charles A. Tindley Accelerated School and his 11th year teaching college-level courses. Dr. Blizard was the 2018/2019 CATAS Teacher of the Year and received his PhD in Medieval History from Indiana University in 2017. He loves Latin, science fiction, gardening heirloom vegetables, and devouring copious amounts of historical monographs on diverse topics (from 60s Counterculture to Sasanian Persia). Dr. Blizard looks forward to the 2022/23 school year!
