Meet Mr. Jones

Though this is the first year as the ELL teacher at Charles A. Tindley for Michael Jones, he already feels like a part of the Tindley family and looks forward to growing as a teacher alongside his scholars. Before his time here, Michael was a Spanish teacher for the IES Language Foundation and had an academic career in Anthropology at UC Santa Cruz and San Jose State. More than just a language teacher, Michael is also of mixed Spanish and American heritage and he hopes to take from that experience to help his scholars navigate this new language and culture they now find themselves in. He looks forward to the rest of the year and beyond!
