Meet Mr. Collins

Andrew Collins is the new Early College English Teacher. While this is his first year at Tindley, this is his 8th year in K-12 education exclusively in Indianapolis schools. Andrew earned his B.S. in English literature from Indiana State University in 2010, his M.A. in creative writing from Indiana State University in 2012, his B.A. in English teaching 2015, and his M.S.Ed. in educational leadership in 2019 from Indiana University - Indianapolis. He is currently enrolled in the Organizational Leadership doctoral program at Marian University with an expected graduation is 2025. Andrew is a member of The National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) and is an alumnus of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia National Fraternity of Music. 
In his free time, Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife and 6-year-old daughter, video games, fishing, reading, and advancing music in America through various musical pursuits.
