Meet Mr. Carter-Mendoza
Donpaul Carter-Mendoza Sr. is the ELL teacher at Tindley, where he supports students in developing their linguistic skills to ensure academic success. With five years of teaching experience and a retired U.S. Army background, Donpaul is known for his dedication and discipline. He has received the Good Conduct Award during his military service, and last year, his students voted him the most inspirational teacher. In addition to his teaching role, Donpaul has coached basketball, track, Cross Country, and soccer for over 12 years, showcasing his passion for sports and mentorship.
Outside of work, Donpaul enjoys spending time with his family and is a proud father. Almost every weekend Donpaul goes out to support both his kids in soccer or other sports. An interesting fact about him is that he has a deep appreciation for tactical strategies in team sports, which he finds calming and inspirational. This is his first year teaching at Tindley, and he is excited to bring his unique experiences and skills to the school community.
