Meet Mr. Keefer

David Keefer brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to his role as a College Advisory Corp Advisor. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, David now resides in Bloomington, Indiana. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Professional Writing and Data Science from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and is currently pursuing graduate studies in Technical Communication at the University of Minnesota.

David is passionate about guiding students through pivotal transitions, providing expertise in college and career exploration, admissions and financial aid applications, scholarship research, and the journey from high school to college.

Beyond his professional pursuits, David’s experiences include studying abroad in Oslo, Norway, and mastering the Norwegian language over four years. He’s a self-taught pianist, an avid cyclist exploring Indiana’s scenic trails, and an enthusiastic reader—currently enjoying Under the Eye of the Big Bird by Hiromi Kawakami. A dedicated Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Bucks fan, David also encourages students to embrace their journey: “Don’t feel locked into the first major you pick.
