Meet Ms. Cox
Angelica Cox is a dedicated educator with a strong background in mathematics, economics, and cultural engagement. As an undergraduate, she was an active member of the National Society of Black Engineers and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, in addition to participating in the lacrosse team and numerous other student organizations. During her summers, she contributed to STEM education by teaching engineering concepts to elementary school students through the Summer Engineering Experience for Kids, reaching communities in Mississippi, Texas, Washington, D.C., and Alabama.
Ms. Cox earned her Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics, with a minor in Spanish, from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. She later pursued her passion for education by obtaining a Master’s degree in Secondary Education from IUPUI. Over the past nine years, she has taught a wide range of mathematics courses from 8th to 12th grade at several schools in Indianapolis. In addition to her classroom teaching, she provides virtual tutoring to students across the country.
Beyond mathematics, Ms. Cox is deeply passionate about global cultures and travel. Her enthusiasm for exploring different societies has led her to study, teach, and travel in Spain, Turkey, Japan, Thailand, Jamaica, Mexico, Colombia, and the Dominican Republic. When she is not traveling, she actively engages in the local arts scene, attending cultural events and performances throughout the city. A talented spoken word artist, she has performed on numerous stages and remains a dedicated supporter of local artists and authors.
