yeah you rang me again go to this one you can see my screen correct can you see my screen to show I don't know what happened there I don't know either so I'm going to share my screen again let me know if you see it can you see that all right so we've already started the recording keep an eye on anybody in the waiting room I don't think I set up the waiting room but just in case I'm going to go ahead and get started cuz it is 6:32 and I want to start close to on time here so so again I had the pleasure of having my TV is and admin Sidekick is our school social worker and again myself I am totes school and we may have a visit from our of culture of Middle School Miss levada Dawson so I want to welcome those whether you're here or you catching this on the replay icon if you have any questions there's a moment in time where we say go ahead and do so via email text SMS Monday morning and there's also a copy of this on our website and others except the opinion of others be respectful of others comments and then we always strive to make sure whether it's in person or virtual that we do things that keep everybody safe surjective sports tonight in this is always about how we can communicate anything to our dollars and to our families to the parents app so again we're going to announcements and then the last 5 to 10 minutes will be for so starting with announcements we will have our town hall meetings of course tonight cuz I did send out also that are Town Hall meetings are now second and fourth Thursdays of the month we will have another one our last Thursday of the month but all of February we are going to not have Town Hall meetings they will be replaced with what's called parent content nights I'm going to be more information that's going to be out to all the parents either not if not Friday but sometime next week but basically what that is as a short snippet is for exam the first Thursday of February will be dedicated for ELA night so basically cap on and they're going to sit there and go see what their Scholars go through each day so one week will be LA and no the other the next Thursday will be I believe it's science and social studies and then elective so they'll be five Thursdays in a row so that means all of February Town Hall meetings but will be back on track on the second and fourth Thursday of March and then we're going to talk more about the rewards program cuz we did start this week we had the teachers implemented last week and they continue to do so and all the scholars should be registered in the system and utilizing if you're Skyler has not please remind them to either contact teacher or contact one of us and we'll help them get started on that and then finally the a e reminder there was a scheduled for this week and there's a a that's going to be starting to schedule for next week cuz teachers will be scheduling Friday's and they will be contacting parents on Fridays of the schedule for that following look for next week's 80 schedule and your Scholars the skills that they're lacking or needing more help on so that they can get that grade back up to pass 75% so any Schuyler any of their classrooms were there they have less than 75% in the class they will be scheduled for a e whether it's an impersonator virtual AE instructions has classes but they want extra help communicate with the teacher labeled sketch of an in so here we go we're going to talk about the PBIS rewards programs for parents what I'm going to show up here this is a link up here it's an English and in Spanish it's an intro video for parents to better understand why PBIS and how beneficial it is for parents to have access to so what I want you guys to do right now if you haven't already is that you're going to open up your soror Google store so Apple Store Google and I want you guys to search for the PBIS rewards parents app so I'm going to give you guys a few minutes to do that I'm not going to be able to play the parent set up video you have access to it on this PowerPoint and then use it to get more clarification as rewards parent app so as you are doing that I'm going to have the wonderful Miss Grady she going to go ahead and tell you why we decided to do the PBIS rewards program in first talk about what it is and then why so take it away Q slim thank you good evening everyone so what is PBIS PBIS is positive behavior interventions and supports it is basically a system to encourage positive behaviors to let Scholars know that they are meeting expectations and encouraging them to continue to do that teacher teacher and promotes those positive behaviors the more we awarded other scholar points know that may encourage their neighbor to want to earn points in so we're promoting positive behavior also it will 2 a positive School climate overall increased engagement and just everyone doing their best so what did we decide to use PBIS Rewards school-wide on whether it's academics or Athletics it can be used across all grade levels and with the apps and how easy they are to navigate it saves everyone time when rewarding points and reviewing also the Big Bang introduces office referrals as I said before we are trying to promote positive behaviors and not so much promote -1 so we're more than so here awarding our scholarships points for doing positive things than providing referrals for negative behaviors within the classroom on the more positive behavior we have the less time teachers have to allocate to redirection or fixing any negative behaviors also increases positive relationships across the entire School whether it's collar to Skyler or Skyler teacher and last but not least build a positive School culture thank you very much so now I'm going to show you a couple things so I'm going to take you to our admin admin dashboard or the staff dashboard so that I can show you what the letter might look like but what you see here reason why so what I did is I clicked on the parent and then this is our message board so teachers have access to a message board so once the parents are connected they can you know this is a great for teachers to be able to communicate things that are going on in their classroom cool white thing going on like a communicate year on The Message Board and parents can communicate back so that's kind of one of those things if you're familiar with ClassDojo same concept is connected through your email or your cell phone information or access to your Scholars classroom and teacher so early in the school climate like that's another or am I can use to make sure that we are getting that information out to her family's so what I wanted to show you and I'm going to utilize a pair that I already entered in here but I wanted to show you the letter so I know I had a Wendy you're on here so Wendy I know you asked in the last session what what the letter look like so this is the letter you'll get teacher will send you a letter in the letter will have to parent of Scottish names that will have that Scholars name from Charlie PBIS rewards. Com website so bookmark that on your phone or your browser anytime you have questions or you want to learn to do some certain things for parent access you can click the help and the life chat but again you'll get a letter it's going to tell you to go ahead and go and download with your guy already one step ahead so you can skip this part right here but here's the QR code that I was talking about where it's going to have at each is it that was designed specifically for that Skyler so Wendy I know you have a few scholars in this building from 7 through 12 you're going to get all three of them okay so you nna I don't know for sure if it's all three on one page or you get each three individual letters are probably individual letters but so once you click on it'll give you a prompt to do and then you have access and then what I want to show you is what you have access to so you're going to have access to seeing your Scholars point or we found any comments and we encourage and require our teachers always put it on why they rewarded the Schuyler understanding the basically show you the snip down here so you'll have access to say let you say your scholar setup a check-in and check-out process with their teacher or with the anybody in the middle set up go to work one-on-one with the sky and they can somebody please thank you so that you can you know you're Skyler or the teacher can in for example this Skyler they set up with the teacher that they're going to try to points every time they are prepared to learn if a teacher acknowledged played in an assignment then boom and then here's a oh thank you for having all your homework completed and then signed into the Skyler and Skyler will see that they're their bucks are there points has increased all right check-in and check-out processes we also have referrals so down here you might be looking at us College Point UCI and there's no message I already have seven messages here so you can always click then you are points details and then all the sudden I got to get a referral for another great tool for especially in my standpoint as a deep that it's you know it's automatically contacting my parent plus I follow up with my parents so it that's a cool tool and teachers love it to have to use it because one of the goals is running boom easy access instead of stop what they're doing and having to go do something separate it's all in one Hub and then you'll get to see me like you know again they're points balance purchases that they made you know one of the Beauties I love about the PBIS sister Misty virtual checking account and then they have different things that they be able to purchase their points with we'll have school at events each individual classroom teachers will set up their own school events and will have their own classroom store and then we'll have a school sport store and there's more information that you know to talk about on that later and teachers will communicate that with you as well so you'll have access to any upcoming events communication from school staff here and again you can go to this I'll probably have this link to for you guys to have access to where you can see what the parent conversations are and learn how to stop so that is why it's good idea to have parent access to the PBIS Rewards program so I'm going to now leave it up so we got a little extra you know about 10 minutes or so search for any questions that you may have on the program and I am going to stop share and so I know Miss Wendy is there any other question you may have for us not just make sure you're emailing myself to add you to all three of your Scholars accounts in so that you can be communicated with I do not have questions at this time thank you so much for offering to email you now before I go get a chance to do it later but yeah go ahead and email me and make sure that I add you and so you'll get information hopefully tonight in those videos to the website sure everybody has access to going back and looking at it no probably stay on here for a little bit so if you guys want to leave you're more than welcome to thank you again for joining us and thank you Michonne for assisting tonight in you guys have a great evening no problem thanks for you to thank you bye you all
