Meet Dr. Blizard

Miles A. Blizard fervently believes that "doing history" develops critical thinking skills, enriches our understanding of ourselves, and creates the next generation of responsible citizens. This is his 7th year at Charles A. Tindley Accelerated School and his 12th year teaching college-level courses. Dr. Blizard was the 2018/2019 CATAS Teacher of the Year and received his PhD in History from Indiana University in 2017. He loves science fiction, gardening heirloom vegetables, and devouring copious amounts of historical monographs on diverse topics (from medieval monks to the intellectual origins of the New Left). Dr. Blizard looks forward to the 2024/25 school year!
