Meet Ms. Anderson-Sweatt

Assistant Principal Anderson-Sweatt has spent over 19 years in Education in various capacities. The roles served in are Interim-Principal, Assistant Principal, Social Studies Teacher, Basketball Coach, Paraprofessional and Substitute teacher since 2003. Ms. Anderson-Sweatt re-joins our team as a previous secondary education teacher at Charles A. Tindley Accelerated High School teaching. From 2018 to 2021 CATAS Ms. Anderson-Sweatt  taught High School Honors Government & Economics, and Honors World History & Civilization. While previously serving at CATAS, she sponsored Student Government Club and was a member of our standardized assessment and data analysis team.  


Ms. Anderson-Sweatt’s entire career in service has been in various capacities within the Greater Indianapolis Community; actively engaging in and promoting human welfare, anti-human trafficking initiatives, missing persons efforts, emergency and disaster preparedness, economic literacy and global awareness. She recognized her role as a humanitarian in her early teens and has been a dedicated volunteer and mentor for over 18 years. Ms. Anderson-Sweatt is a former teen director at Wheeler-Dowe Boys and Girls Club (2001). She began volunteering with Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis in 2005 after the devastation of hurricane Katrina and spent the majority of her time assisting Gulf Coast refugees in rebuilding their lives. In addition to her career in education, she served as an Intelligence Analysis for the Indiana National Guard. She is a graduate of Marian University, American Military University, and Cochise College. As a lifelong learner, she has also studied at IUPUI, Indiana State University and Marian University.


Ms. Anderson-Sweatt believes that all scholars are capable of maximizing their full potential when they are provided with equitable access to education by educators who are well equipped and passionate about igniting and nurturing our scholar’s unique individual abilities.
